Thames Valley Animal Welfare is a local charity, founded by Ann Butler Smith in 1983, specialising in the rescue of stray, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens.
We are based around the wider Reading/Henley-on-Thames area, covering a 15 mile radius of Reading.

Run entirely by volunteers and completely dependent on donations to fund our work, each year we help on average over 500 cats and kittens get the medical care they need and find the loving new homes they deserve. We also run a lost and found register, helping to reunite countless lost cats with their owners.

We urgently need more foster homes, indoor or outdoor with a cathouse, as we try to meet the ever increasing demand of requests for help for cats and kittens to come into foster care. If you are a kind, patient person with some experience of caring for cats and a team player, we would like to hear from you. In the first instance please ring either 0118 9722082 or 07830 074876.
