About TVAW

Our Organisation

Established in 1983, Thames Valley Animal Welfare (TVAW) is a local charity run entirely by volunteers and funded solely by donations and fundraising activity.

We operate under a constitution approved by the Charity Commission and have a management committee consisting of 12 trustees. Our charity commission registration number is 900616.

Our Aim

We aim to rescue abandoned, stray and unwanted cats and kittens, to provide any veterinary care required and to find them permanent, loving new homes with responsible people. We neuter all age appropriate cats in our care, and promise never to euthanize any cat unless it is on the best advice of a veterinary surgeon.
