Thames Valley Animal Welfare is a local charity specialising in the rescue of abandoned, stray and unwanted cats and kittens. We are based around the wider Reading/Henley-on-Thames area, covering a 15 mile radius of Reading.

Run entirely by volunteers and completely dependent on donations to fund our work, each year we help on average over 500 cats and kittens get the medical care they need and find the loving new homes they deserve. We also run a lost and found register, helping to reunite countless lost cats with their owners.

 Coronavirus Update
We are taking in and rehoming cats, whilst staying within the government guidelines. We will be able to explain our rehoming process to you in more detail when you phone to enquire about adopting a cat from us.
With many cats already in our care and an ever-growing waiting list, TVAW are looking for new foster homes to enable us to continue helping as many cats & kittens as possible. We will provide the equipment and cover expenses; all you need is a suitably positioned area of flat space in your garden (approx12ft x4ft) and have time and plenty of TLC to give. If you are within our catchment area (15-mile radius of Reading) and are interested or would like more information, please call us on 01189 721871.
